If you push that same button again, the console will light up and the front and rear light are now on as well. The top of the screen displays you current speed, remaining battery life and the amount of power you’re using at any given moment. You can push the second button to scroll through the different information that’s available including the total distance, trip time, trip distance and top speed. The plus and minus buttons on the bottom control the electric assistance. When it says zero on the bottom left corner, you’re in throttle assist mode where you use a simple twist and go throttle while pedaling as little or as much as you want. You also have levels one through five of pedal assist mode where the bike will sense your pedaling and match it automatically. When you’re in pedal assist mode you can use the throttle at any time as an override for full-power on demand. And finally, to turn the system off you just push and hold the top button.
The battery is locked in place for security, and it can easily be removed by turning the key and sliding it out. It can be charged on or off the bike using any standard wall outlet.
