The Governor’s e-bike is on display this weekend the Northern California Home and Landscape Show with a sign saying: “Practical Transportation for Our Governor- Please help us loan this limited edition electric bike to Gov. Jerry Brown.” My dear friends and former employers at Solarecity Electric hope it will attract attention to their booth and help set them apart from the growing number of competing solar contractors.
Following Practical Cycle tradition, my dad and I delivered the bike to Cal Expo using a Worksman Front Load Tricycle. This time we also towed a Pedego Electric Bike using an Electric Cargo Cruiser with an Xtracycle longtail. We left the Governor’s bike strapped to the Worksman at the show, and were still left with two e-bikes to get home with. Needless to say, we both thoroughly enjoyed spending quality family time together hauling bikes on bikes through thick fog on the American River Parkway.
