This is from the Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates website describing a furniture hauling adventure we had together.
“Last year we updated our office with nice, new IKEA desks, making more room for our wonderful volunteers and staff. Obviously, being a bicycle advocacy group, the best way we could accomplish this task was to do it by bike!
For this adventure, we enlisted the help of Tim and Cassidy Castleman, co-owners of Practical Cycle in Old Sacramento. They have a nice fleet of trailers and flat-beds from Worksman Cycles that they graciously let us use for our outing.
Our trip took us a quick 3.6 miles from Old Sacramento through West Sacramento and finally to IKEA where there was covered bicycle parking & plenty of twine to hold down our purchases. We’re happy to report that the SABA office has comfortably settled in. We’re looking forward to our next bicycle shopping trip.”
